Planning for individual development requires making an honest assessment of one’s goals and needs as well as identifying realistic steps to take to move forward. Many people interested in personal or professional development seek the assistance of a coach.
While there are several ways to define coaching, for us it is the art of:
- Exploring and improving self-awareness
- Identifying personal strengths
- Understanding and managing, or compensating for, blind spots and developmental needs
- Strategizing for career and personal development

Conflict can refer to many different types of interactions though quite often it is deemed as an interaction with a negative emotional charge. More often conflict exists because a core element of trust, beliefs, values, authority or passion has been challenged.
By illuminating the underlying issue and needs, we have a greater opportunity to defuse that charge and achieve a positive outcome than if we stumble through conflict blindly.
The MBTI® instrument can be used to clarify what is really involved in a conflict situation. By incorporating type awareness and particularly awareness of how people of the sixteen different personality types typically present themselves in a conflict situation, we can better strategise how to approach conflict, communicate when in conflict with others and resolve conflict situations.
The Type and Conflict workshop offers MBTI® certified practitioners valuable insights to help individuals and teams improve conflict management skills using psychological type. The focus of this workshop is to equip type practitioners with practical tools for exploring conflict through the lens of the sixteen types which they can then incorporate in conflict management programs.
During the workshop you will learn:
- How type preferences affect conflict
- How to facilitate exercises and techniques for using type in conflict management training
- How to use type to identify sources of potential conflict
- How to create a conflict action plan
- Conflict management strategies through the use of case studies and group exercises

To achieve an organisation's goals through the efforts of others, leaders engage in three main activities:
- Setting direction for the organisation
- Inspiring others to work toward that direction
- Mobilising the effective accomplishment of goals
Leaders are found - and needed - at all levels and in all kinds of organisations. No matter what kind of organisation, group, or leadership style, learning how personality type affects leadership will help you increase the capacity of your leaders to achieve organisational goals.
